AirProtekt has a large portfolio oRTO Installf RTO air pollution control equipment installataions designed to solve problems in managing different types and combinations of VOCs, particulates and acid gas emissions.
A wide range of industrial processes generate VOCs as a consequence of using organic compounds as solvents or reactive chemicals.
In addition to causing localised odour problems VOCs are often implicated in a wide range of environmentally damaging processes, including the generation of low-level ozone and smog that have a significant impact on climate change. For this reason legislation has been introduced in many countries setting very low emission limits for VOCs in process exhaust gases.
AirProtekt’s RTO engineered installation package typically incorporates a containerised combustion section complete with honeycomb ceramic heat recovery medium, preheater, changeover valves and a control system.
More than 90 percent of the energy required to preheat emission gases is recoverable which keeps energy consumption extremely low.
AirProtekt’s flexible approach to providing engineering solutions means that the company is capable of combining and tailoring a Regenerative Thermal Oxidation (RTO) system to suit a cstomers factory process requirements.
“The years of experience gathered in RTO system installations reassures customers by optimising plant to achieve Environmental Agency emission limits, to reduce running costs and improve system reliability,” explained Trevor Lawton, AirProtekt’s managing director. “AirProtekt provides a complete technical advice and support service to clients around the globe. We have supplied air pollution control solutions to multinational organizations across Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East and Oceania. Our engineering solutions address specific local emission requirements but we are also skilled at helping customers match the specifications of other air pollution control equipment in use at manufacturing sites at their other locations worldwide”.
